Wheatland Electric Cooperative engaged GLMV to design a new headquarters facility located on 22 acres in Great Bend, KS, to accommodate their recent business and team growth. GLMV provided all architectural services for this new 39,970-squarefoot facility for Wheatland Electric Cooperative. The facility includes a Member Services and Administration area with 10 offices, staff break room and restroom facilities, conference room, IT designated offices, and office storage space. The operations area includes a 240-square-foot classroom designated for continued staff training and assorted storage closets.
In addition to the main building, the site includes a 1,250-square-foot warehouse and truck barn with an awning to maximize vehicle maintenance capacity. A designated, fenced-in lay down area was incorporated in the overall design to accommodate Wheatland’s equipment, poles, and tools as needed.
