GLMV partnered with the University of Central Missouri Athletic Department to create a vision for the future of the Jennies Soccer Team’s home field and surrounding amenities. Based on the program’s success, there is a growing demand for an improved game-day experience and home-field advantage to support the team and recruit future players to the program.
The master plan and conceptual design created a vision for improvements that include a new entry building that is home to ticketing, concessions, locker rooms, restrooms, storage, coach’s office, media suite and VIP/hospitality suites. Adjacent to this new anchor entry building, space was created for kids to play that also duals as all-weather practice space for the team. Also included is a covered viewing area for standing or bag chairs with adjacent concession or gathering space. The existing bleachers are used in place and upgraded lighting is planned. The gravel parking is also converted to asphalt and given better organization to be more efficient, and a landscape buffer and fence separates the parking from the game-day experience.
Overall, when built, this will take what was once a rec field used for matches to a truly unique experience that the Jennies can be proud to call their home.
