As the first LEED building in Wichita, this facility brought a new level of sustainable design to the city and its growing public transportation fleet. The maintenance facility made particularly critical use of rainwater reclamation and reuse systems, used for washing vehicles as well as maintaining landscaping.
GLMV designed this new 23,000-square-foot design-build facility for storage and maintenance. Designed to match surrounding city structures, the LEED Silver building houses up to 28 vehicles and includes maintenance bays, an automated wash bay, a parts storage area, conference space, and a training area.
