Roger Williams Park Zoo | Faces of The Rainforest

This highly immersive habitat experience includes a 10,000-square-foot interior which highlights biodiversity and the importance of rainforests in our global ecosystem. Working alongside curatorial and animal care staff, the GLMV team brought to life the star attraction of this indoor tropical forest habitat, the Giant Otters of South America, for guests to be fascinated by these aquatic mammals, while providing superlative environments both on and off exhibit.

Project Details

The prominent building, located in the extreme southwest corner of the site, has become the Zoo’s architectural highlight and serves as a highly visible indication of progress, as it will be seen not only by visitors, but also by traffic on I-95, a primary travel artery.

Giant River Otters of South America are the star attraction of this indoor tropical forest habitat. Working alongside curatorial and animal care staff, we have brought to life an amazing place for guests to be fascinated by these aquatic mammals, while providing superlative environments both on and off exhibit. Primates, Giant Anteaters, Fish and Bird Species complete the story telling themed indoor environment.
