Moving from Mission to Outcomes | Ensuring Your Conservation Impact

“Conservation needs to move beyond random acts of kindness and instead mobilize strategic coordinated action”  – Sally Jewel, former Secretary of the Interior, addressing 2016 IUCN World Congress

Registration details for the 2023 Fall Session here.

GLMV Architecture’s Zoo Division and the IUCN Species Survival Commission have partnered to facilitate conservation impact workshops that provide any size organization with a foundation for operationalizing their own pragmatic, compelling, and impactful conservation efforts.  These workshops support organizations in establishing an understanding of existing conservation programs and in prioritizing, organizing, and measuring initiatives.  At the conclusion of the workshop, organizations have clarity of purpose and an articulated strategy to deliver on their conservation mission.

In each 3-part series, participants:

  • Form an inventory of their organization’s existing conservation programs.
  • Conduct a SWOT analysis.
  • Prioritize and organize initiatives using an assessment matrix.
  • Develop logic models with SMART objectives and metrics.

Topics include:

  • A global perspective on the state of conservation.
  • The business case for conservation.
  • Leveraging organizational capacity & partnerships.
  • Building support.
