Taking into consideration the overall campus master plan, this design responded to the strong traditions of Kansas State University’s campus while providing a unique expression of its own design. Creativity and implementation of unique architectural features are emphasized throughout the project, exhibiting principles of New Urbanism.
GLMV designed this mixed-use, 800-unit residential complex for married and single undergraduate and graduate students in Manhattan, Kansas. The facility includes townhouses and apartments, as well as a retail center, an academic center and other amenities. Sitework includes green space, playgrounds, community-use facilities, and parking.

Repeat clients are a special kind. We’ve had a relationship with Botanica since its inception, and our landscape pros have provided award-winning themed gardens for decades. The whimsical Downing Children’s Garden, one of the most recently completed themed gardens, caters to Wichita’s blossoming population of young families.
When a service group brought to our attention that differently abled kids in our community were short on playground options, we hopped to action and designed the first boundless playground in Kansas. The new, barrier-free playground provides an opportunity for all local children to play together in a creative, inclusive environment.
