Blending 10 million gallons of water every day is hard work that requires a hardy building. But who says industrial design can’t be beautiful? This facility had high visibility, being near a residential neighborhood and state fairgrounds, so we worked with city leaders to develop a unique residential style, even concealing the aeration and de-gasification functions in a clock tower.
GLMV completed this project for the city of Hutchinson, Kansas, consisting of a 17,145-square-foot process building for administrative functions, a laboratory, a pump room, the process tower and several chemical storage rooms. A 4,200-square-foot, two-level pump building and a two-level equipment storage building containing 2,000 square feet were also designed.
