Senior living residents today look for a community that fosters healthy lifestyles while being conscious of cost of living. We designed this town center-style facility to meet both concerns by providing first-class amenities and encouraging sustainability through natural lighting and eco-friendly building materials.
GLMV designed this two-story assisted living and memory care facility in Wichita, Kansas to contain approximately 60 units. The 67,475-square-foot facility includes a combination of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and efficiency units. The facility features a post office, bistro, hair salon and other conveniences that allow independent living in a community environment.

After consulting with our senior living experts, developers of this facility found the innovations and value they’d been seeking. Providing a top-notch community atmosphere to residents and their guests, in addition to superior access to staff, were top priorities, so we designed around the concept of a central community gathering area with in-house amenities.
The physician-owned Kansas Medical Center sought architects with hospital expertise who could understand the needs of caregivers and patients alike, while integrating state-of-the-art healthcare technology. Project collaboration resulted in a building combining function and dramatic form.
