It’s critical for operations to run smoothly at any military installation, and leadership at Fort Riley recognized a need for a large-scale revitalization of the on-fort Tactical Equipment Maintenance Facility. After holding a programming charrette to gather input from users and other key stakeholders, we designed a highly sustainable facility to service Army vehicles and other equipment.
GLMV renovated two 32,500-square-foot maintenance facilities, including demolition of a portion of the existing building, design of a new 10,000-square-foot multistory core area, repair bays, and deployment storage buildings. The LEED Gold certified revitalization also included upgrade or replacement of supporting utilities and anti-terrorism/force protection.
