Responding to the needs of a growing student body, our team designed these dual facilities for Newman University. The two are linked to the center of campus and connected by a rotunda that ties and unifies both facilities. Spaces were designed to be as inclusive and flexible as possible to maximize engagement and use by students and visitors alike.
GLMV designed this 110,000-square-foot, dual-facility project for Newman University in Wichita, Kansas. Phase 1 included a new 1,200-seat gym, aerobics room, weight and training rooms, locker rooms, administrative offices, and fitness center. Phase 2 consisted of a performance hall, art gallery and exhibition space, flexible studio theatre, and classrooms and labs for instrumental and vocal music, forensics, and graphic arts and ceramics.
