Located in one of the nation’s largest hubs for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) careers, Wichita State University has a deep commitment to recruiting and retaining students in these areas. When they wanted to offer world-class engineering research facilities, we stepped in to provide a flexible space that meets their ever-changing needs for both students and researchers.
GLMV designed this two-story, 57,000-square-foot addition to provide world-class research and educational opportunities for electrical engineering and computer science, mechanical engineering, industrial and manufacturing engineering, and aerospace engineering students. Key features include high open-structure labs, flexible utility and power distribution systems, vibration-resistant floors, and a large-component structural testing lab.
