The Law Enforcement Training Center is designed for the Sedgwick County and City of Wichita police forces as well as the new center for the Criminal Justice Department of Wichita State University. Located on the WSU Innovation Campus, this 60,000-square-foot center provides training for new cadets and classrooms for the Criminal Justice Department.
The first floor includes tactical training and fitness rooms, emergency services backup/training, crime scene incident rooms and quartermaster’s room for the Wichita Police Department and Sheriff’s Department. The second floor provides classrooms for law enforcement. The classrooms for the Criminal Justice Program, which includes the Regional Community Policing Institute and Midwest Criminal Justice Institute, are located on the third floor.
