We worked with Via Christi to design a space which provides a higher level and broader range of service to its cancer patients, treating them as individuals with multifaceted needs in their treatment. Spaces are included for yoga, art, massage therapy, and laugh therapy, as well as a media room, family gathering rooms, sleep quarters, and laundry center.
We designed this complete renovation of 40,700 square feet in Wichita, Kansas. The space contains 40 private patient rooms, two radiation therapy rooms, six private bone marrow transplant rooms; ambulatory infusion center with treatment bays; a cancer education and resource center with internet access; and administrative spaces.

This facility is designed around a town-neighborhood-household concept. Upon entering the building, guests and residents step right onto Main Street, lined with a bistro, salon, chapel, retail space, and even a clock tower, bringing the community to residents who may have limited mobility.
