Derby’s New Fire Station is Making Progress

The walls are finally going up for the City of Derby’s Fire Station! Located closer to where the City’s growth is taking place, this building will serve as the main fire station in the area.

This new 23,000-square-foot facility includes park-like elements with extensive landscaping, walkways, and a plaza with an eye-catching sculpture. The new station will be able to offer administrative offices and other spaces for firefighters. The design team includes Matt Cortez, Stacy Christie, and Christie George.

As the fire station’s designer, we are excited to see hard work come to fruition, and are just as thrilled to work alongside our partners at Snodgrass & Sons Construction, Professional Engineering Consultants, Dudley Williams & Associates, and Parish Masonry. The project is scheduled to be completed in Spring 2019 and the progress can be seen below:
