Kansas Air National Guard Air Support Operations Squadron (ASOS) Beddown, Salina, Kansas -- The ASOS functions in a liaison and control capacity for the Air Guard and Air Force as well as support for Army divisions, brigades and battalions. The project, currently under construction, contains three structures. The Administration, Training, Maintenance and Shop Facility is the primary facility. Containing 19,000-square-feet, this building houses administrative areas for the Command operations; Operations spaces, including training and scheduling, and Maintenance spaces for equipment and vehicles. Other support spaces such as multipurpose and locker rooms are also included. The second facility is a 16,500-square-foot ASOS AGE/Storage facility for 35 “Humvee” military vehicles. The third structure is an ASOS Washrack Facility.
