Holy Cross Lutheran Church and School, Wichita, KS -- Holy Cross Lutheran Church and School is a multi-phased facility located on a 20-acre site in northeast Wichita, Kansas. The first phase of the project consists of approximately 54,000 square feet and includes: church administration offices, a single section K-8 elementary school, a lunchroom, youth center, multipurpose gymnasium with locker rooms (temporary sanctuary), a library and a music room. The second phase included an 800-seat sanctuary, fellowship hall with full commercial kitchen, additional parking, and another section of K-8 classrooms. The gymnasium was designed to accommodate the worship services until the permanent sanctuary could be built. Other program areas include a nursery for Sunday services, multipurpose room, and a serving kitchen. Site amenities include lakes with fountains, play fields, integrated landscaping, and meditation garden.
