Cessna Single Engine Plant, Independence, Kansas -- Originally designed as a single engine aircraft assembly plant, this 213-acre complex initially included 407,000-square-feet of plant area, including assembly building, paint facility, flight building and a fire pump building. Future plans include a 14,400-square-foot addition to the assembly building, currently in the design phase, a 7,200-square-foot maintenance and chiller building, complete air tempering of the existing assembly building, and a kitchen expansion in the delivery building. GLMV is providing master planning, site planning, architectural, and landscape architectural services. PEC is responsible for civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering services.
