Waxahachie Surgery Center




This 7,000-square-foot Ambulatory Surgery Center was developed adjacent to the provider’s primary care offices in Waxahachie, Texas. GLMV Architecture designed one operating room and one procedure room set up for endoscopy. Patent care is supported by 3 pre-op beds, 4 post–op beds and 5 recovery stations to accommodate the endoscopy case loads. Working directly with the staff, the design of a single nurse station is able to support both the pre-op and the post-op allowing for efficient staffing. Part of the overall development was requisite decontamination and sterile processing, sterile storage, anesthesia workroom, dictation and staff lounge, and change area. Business areas include reception, registration areas, workroom and medical records, and manager’s office.
