Bellaire Behavioral Health Hospital, Houston, Texas




Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is a privately owned hospital providing services to inpatient and outpatient psychiatric patients in the Houston area. The main feature of the inpatient floor plan is the flexibility to subdivide nursing units to smaller sections in order to respond to patient population and admissions while minimizing the number of nursing staff. The project includes a feasibility study, planning and design of a 42,500-square-foot expansion and interior build-out. Once completed, this project will feature a 18,000-square-foot new patient wing incorporating 48 inpatient beds, social and activity spaces, outdoor activity areas and requisite nursing support. New hospital administration, outpatient services, patient intake and admissions will be in the current shelled areas along with a new kitchen, servery and dining services area.
